What are amorphous solar cells?

Amorphous: Amorphous cells are non-crystal silicon cells. They are used in flexible solar modules, also called thin-film solar modules. These modules are used mostly in building embedded solar systems, such as window-integrated solar systems. These cells are inexpensive but have a lower efficiency compared to mono-crystal and poly-crystal cells.

What materials are used for photovoltaic solar cell systems?
