Who invented the energy storage system?

The first energy storage system was invented in 1859 by the French physicist Gaston Planté . He invented the lead-acid battery, based on galvanic cells made of a lead electrode, an electrode made of lead dioxide (PbO 2 ) and an approx. 37% aqueous solution of sulfuric acid acting as an electrolyte.

What was the first'real' electronic storage device?

The first 'real' electronic storage device was the Manchester Mark I Williams-Kilburn tube. This device was introduced in 1947 and was a cathode ray tube, similar to ones used in televisions, that stored binary data. Binary data is the simplest form of data, broken down into only ones and zeroes, which are readily understood by a computer.
