How does PBO affect pbzb glasses?

PbO may have a number of impacts on the NBOs and the energy band gap in PBZB glasses, such as acting as a network modifier in the glass composition. This means that PbO can disrupt the regular bonding configurations, potentially leading to the generation of NBOs.

Are Pb-Bi-Zn-B glasses correlated with PbO content?

We estimated the MAC of the Pb–Bi–Zn–B glasses and found a positive correlation of the MAC of the samples with the glasses’ PbO content, or an inverse correlation with the glasses’ B 2 O 3 content.

How does PBO incorporation affect binary phosphate glasses?

PbO incorporation significantly modifies the structural and physical properties of PbO–P₂O₅ binary phosphate glasses. PbO acts as both a network former and modifier, disrupting the phosphate network and leading to the formation of non-bridging oxygens (NBOs).
